We've just received a huge shipment of Redwood logs - some with a diametre of seven feet! The possibilities are endless. These Sequoiadendron giganteum or Giant Redwoods are often used in outdoor construction in California (decking, stairs, outdoor furniture) because they weather well. We've made some into a play pen for Natalie which is a great application as the timber is so light the play pen can easily be transported. What could you do with it? We're taking orders now and cutting logs to your specifications!         Made out of rough sawn cypress, the table setting is very sturdy with attractive mortice and tenon joins.  In place for our customers, this table setting easily seats 10 people. The natural edges on the table and seats are very unique and attractive.
 The folks from Wild Trout Downunder and the Gordon Hat Shoppe kindly sent us this photo from their store in Gordon, Victoria (off M8 between Ballarat and Melbourne). It features a pedestal we turned for them and one of the many hat blocks we have made for them. They design and make some fantastic hats for both men and women. He has made samples in Elm and Redgum and oh are they beautiful. Polished the grain comes out looking truly magnificent as you can see in the picture of the Redgum chair here. These are sturdy chairs and comfortable with their shapely back slats - I even find them comfortable at eight months pregnant! The seats can be plain or saddled or even upholstered in your choice of fabric. Some friends of ours recently hung new curtains in their house. They are going to get a set of Mollison chairs in Elm and have the seats upholstered in their leftover curtain fabric. The chairs are going to look great ! |
