Pete put together this vaccum pump and suction pad sytem to overcome the problem of handling big items such as these slabs. It works great - especially when Pete is on his own.

Pete turned these finials on his wood lathe. They came out beautifully. I think most of us wouldn't mind curtains hanging from rods with these on the ends!
Made of elm, this coffee table table is the ultimate in grace and style. The soft round edges are also child friendly - no sharp corners for little ones to bump or fall against!
Imagine how many people you could seat around a table made from this giant redwood slab! Hospitality double plus! The Lucas Mill is peeling these slabs off our giant redwood logs. These are all spoken for, but if you have an interest in slabs, give us a call. We may be able to be of assistance!

We've just received a huge shipment of Redwood logs - some with a diametre of seven feet! The possibilities are endless. These Sequoiadendron giganteum or Giant Redwoods are often used in outdoor construction in California (decking, stairs, outdoor furniture) because they weather well. We've made some into a play pen for Natalie which is a great application as the timber is so light the play pen can easily be transported. What could you do with it? We're taking orders now and cutting logs to your specifications!
Storage space is at a premium at PD Woodcraft. We have a lot of timber in stock and we have a big need for bigger premises. So we're discounting our packs of timber - having a great big timber sale to help to raise funds to finance a big factory for PD Woodcraft. Download our flyer to check out the great discounts we have on our packs of timber until 31 March 2010.
We have a new service! We have quite a comprehensive metalworking workshop and might be able to be of assistance to you on a number of projects. Newly added to our "Services" page is information about our ability to machine custom tooling. Recent turns include steel parts for engines, bores, pulleys, nylon runners, aluminium shafts and more.
For some applications our customers prefer curved craftwood to bendyply. Pete assembles a curved template to a given radius, glues a number of sheets of craftwood together and puts them in the template. When the glue is dry the craftwood comes out of the template having been bent into a beautiful curve. Here are two curves joined together to make a 180 degree semicircle for the front of a counter.
